Limited lifetime Warranty

For Lamborghini 5.2 V10 and Mercedes-Benz AMG M177/178 Marine Engine Conversions & Installations:

1. Warranty Grant

Palm Beach Offshore, Inc. (“PBO”) hereby grants to the original purchaser (“Customer”) a Limited Lifetime Warranty (“Warranty”) covering the Conversion against defects in materials and workmanship as follows:

• Initial Coverage Period: One (1) year from date of delivery, with unlimited operating hours, for all covered components.
   
• Covered Components (Initial Warranty): All core engine components, sensors, wiring harnesses, electronic control units, and accessories supplied as part of the Conversion, provided they have not been subjected to abuse, neglect, or improper installation are covered. Does not cover consumables, oil, fuel, filters, coolant, etc.
   

2. Service & Extended Comprehensive Warranty Contracts

Prior to the expiration of the Initial Coverage Period, Customer may elect one of the following ongoing Warranty contracts. Each contract may be maintained for the lifetime of the vessel so long as subscription fees are current. Secondarily, the Customer may elect to have a full Service Contract, as described below, at the delivery of the conversion thus covering all maintenance, consumables, and so forth.

Gold Level Basic Warranty

$500 per engine, per month (Separate contract issued for each engine) UNLIIMITED HOURS

• Includes Engine block and cylinder heads, all associated internal components.
• Uses existing accessories, pumps, belts, alternators, etc 

• Does not provide coverage for NON PBO labor, freight, travel, and or other related expenses. Covers literally all described above components & labor to exchange components in the event of failure.  If you chose to utilize your local mechanic, PBO does not cover labor. With proper documentation and inspection PBO will cover associated parts to either repair and or replace at the discretion of PBO. Our master technicians are always standing by to come to you if needed, anywhere in the world, (7) days a week though associated travel expenses are not covered under most circumstances. 

Platinum Level Comprehensive Warranty

$750 per engine, per month (Separate contract each engine) UNLIMITED HOURS

• Included Engine block and cylinder heads, all associated internals
• Covers all sensors, harnesses, ECU, controls and components supplied at installation, excluding standard wear and tear items such as belts, hoses, batteries if applicable, etc to which all are offered under our Service Contract rider plan below.
• Turn Key Labor by Palm Beach Offshore, Inc.. Does not provide coverage for non PBO labor, freight, travel, and or other related expenses. Covers literally all listed components, labor to exchange components.  If you chose to utilize your local mechanic, PBO does not cover labor. With proper documentation and inspection PBO will cover associated parts to either repair and or replace at the discretion of PBO. Our master technicians are always standing by to come to you if needed, anywhere in the world, (7) days a week though associated travel expenses are not covered under most circumstances. 

Diamond Elite Service Contract (Add On)

A $175 per contract, per month, a maintenance Service Contract is available as an add on only. Can be added at the delivery or can be added prior to expiration of the original warranty. PBO will cover (in house only) and for the life of the contract, all service, diagnostics, consumables e.g. belts, oil & filter, coolant, and other general maintenance and preventative maintenance items as described in your individual issued contract. All work must be performed at a PBO facility under this Service Contract. As always, our master technicians are always standing by to come to you if needed, anywhere in the world, (7) days a week. Associated travel & expenses are not covered and will apply.

3. Conditions & Limitations on ALL Warranty and Service Contracts

• No Abuse or Neglect: Coverage requires adherence to PBO’s recommended maintenance schedule and proper use. Damage resulting from misuse, racing beyond design limits, collision, fire, flood, or unauthorized modifications is excluded.
   
• Normal Wear and Tear: Components subject to normal wear (e.g., gaskets, belts, consumables) are covered under the add-on Service Contract only. General Warranty plans exclude consumable items unless a failed part caused the consumable to require to be replaced. e.g. a radiator breaks and is under warranty; in this case, proper coolant will be provided as a covered part required a consumable to be installed. It should be noted that equally, and as an example, if an engine is run without a consumable, (oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, etc), that this falls outside of normal wear and tear and will NOT be covered.  
   
• Transferability: Warranty and service contracts are non-transferable and apply only to the original purchaser and the original installed vessel. Upgrading your vessel? Call and talk to us, if PBO does the conversion on your new vessel in house, we can reissue a new lifetime warranty and service contract to keep you running for the life of the vessel.  
   

4. Exclusions

This Warranty does not cover damage or failure due to:

• Improper installation and or maintenance by non-authorized technicians
   
• Use of non-PBO approved fuels, lubricants, or cooling fluids
   
• Acts of God (e.g., lightning, storm damage, fire, sinking, floods)
   
• Cosmetic damage (scratches, paint finish)
   

5. Claim Procedure

To submit a warranty or service claim, Customer must:

1. Notify PBO in writing within fifteen (15) days of discovery of the defect.
    
2. Provide engine serial number, proof of purchase, and associated maintenance records.
    
3. Deliver the engine, component, and or vessel to an authorized PBO service center at Customer’s expense.
    

PBO will, at its option, repair or replace defective engines or parts free of charge (excluding shipping and handling).

With PBO’s Lifetime Service & Extended Comprehensive Warranty programs, you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your vessel is protected—this is the last engine you’ll ever need for your vessel.

Lastly, Don't get caught up in other warranty offerings by other vendors who don't have stock to exchange your engine and or associated parts. We stock our engines and parts. In the event of a failure whether it be a simple sensor or coil pack, or an entire engine assembly, we will have you running again within 7 days of receiving your vessel and or failed part. No more losing a season due to a failed engine - and no more fear of the use of your vessel - we have you covered! 

6.1 Exchange Fee. If Customer elects to have PBO remove and reinstall the engine at PBO’s facility, an exchange fee applies (per prevailing PBO labor rates and facilities charges as set forth in the warranty or contract or as set as a flat rate depending the contract level and terms).

6.2 Customer-Removal Option. To avoid the exchange fee, Customers may remove and ship the engine or failed part to PBO at Customer’s expense; PBO will perform warranty service and return the engine or part freight-collect. We offer tech support, free, to all customers from entry level to advanced. We are here to put fun in power boating again. 

This Warranty is non-transferable except with PBO’s prior written consent and the payment of any applicable transfer fee.

PBO’s sole obligation under this Warranty is repair or replacement as set forth above. PBO shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use, downtime, or towing.

This Warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

By executing a Service or Warranty Contract for the engine and vessel HIN, the Customer acknowledges and accepts the terms of the Limited Lifetime Warranty. as described.
