Founding Vision, Origins and Inspiration
Palm Beach Offshore was born from the shared passions of two partners: one’s lifelong love of European supercars—Lamborghinis and AMG-powered Mercedes—and the other’s devotion to high-powered offshore boats. Noting the 46' to the left was a personal vessel for many years. As such and during a conversation, a debate really, about the exceptional reliability of hand-built European engines versus the frequent failures of GM-based marine powerplants, not to mention the huge cost of ownership and maintenance of the GM applications, the idea for Palm Beach Offshore began to take shape. In 2021, the ideas, drawings and plans were realized. Recognizing a unique opportunity to fuse exotic automotive craftsmanship with marine performance, the partners set out to redefine what powerboating could be.

Today’s top-tier marine race engines— such as Mercury Racing and Sterling Race Engines—offer staggering performance but at steep cost and exceedingly long wait times. A factory “refresh” (overhaul) for a Mercury Racing 1550 can approach the price of a fresh crate engine (roughly $68,000, excluding controls, turbos, and accessories), and often commands lead times of 54 weeks—or longer—for completion.. Sterling’s comparable 700–1,700 HP powerplants list new between $60,000 and $130,000, with custom rebuilds frequently matching those figures and similarly protracted timelines. In many cases, clients face bills in the $50,000+ range for a single engine overhaul—and must wait months before returning to full power. Further, Our experience in building multiple 1,200+ HP AMG GTs - all proven in severe track conditions—we apply this same precision to our marine conversions. Our boutique services include hand-built, closed-loop-cooled marine engines, custom ECU tuning, titanium exhaust systems, and comprehensive dyno validation. We back our work with limited lifetime warranties and optional full-service contracts, ensuring that our clients can run—and run hard—without fear of premature failure or outrageous repair bills, and most importantly with peace of mind.
